Peter is a country boy from the South East of South Australia whose mum dreamt of him becoming a wool classer. Breaking the shackles of the shearing shed, Peter has spent most of his life living in Adelaide and more than 30 years working in the technology sector in both the public and private sectors.
Peter’s passion for digital technology, altruistic nature and drive to make a meaningful difference has seen him push traditional boundaries aside to work in a multitude of different discipline areas including economic and social reform, smart cities and intelligent communities, organisational reform, commercial negotiations and stakeholder management. Peter has a keen interest in exploring the intersection of culture and digital transformation and is a thought leader in his field. He was peer awarded the National CIO of the year in 2017 for his work in Human Centred design and the National Digital Innovator of the year in 2019 for the Ten Gigabit Adelaide project.
When not helping organisations make sense of digital transformation and turning data into insights, Peter is fascinated with sticking steel together with electricity, unearthing the beauty of timber, pulling in double header King George whiting and fixing stuff.
With a flair for thinking outside the box, his curious nature and drive achieves results.
He still is a country boy at heart living in the Adelaide Hills on a small acreage with his family and 3 dogs.
